Welcoming Our 2026 Osteopathy Interns to Cram Osteopaths
Next week we are pleased to welcome our 2026 internship group to Cram Osteopaths for a week of clinical observation and learning at our clinic.
Our internship programme gives osteopathy graduates and final-year students the opportunity to spend time in a busy clinical environment, observing consultations, treatment approaches and patient care within an established practice.
During their week with us the interns will gain insight into:
• Osteopathic assessment and treatment
• Clinical reasoning and patient management
• Shockwave therapy and spinal decompression (IDD Therapy)
• How a busy clinical practice operates day to day
We are always delighted to support the next generation of osteopaths and share the experience of our team.
If you happen to see our interns in the clinic next week, please do say hello.
📍 Cram Osteopaths – Glasgow
You may not have met me yet, but I am Michael, part of the clinical team here at Cram Osteopaths, working alongside Alex.
Last week on holiday in Poland, we had just come in from a full day skiing in Białka Tatrzańska ⛷️
It was around 9pm.
Thermals off.
Tea made ☕
Winter Olympics on.
All very calm…
Until suddenly…
🚨 An air raid siren started blaring across the city
And if you have never heard one before, it is not subtle.
Within seconds:
💓 Heart rate up
😮💨 Breathing quicker
👀 Everyone looking at each other
“Is this real?”
“Should we be doing something?”
“Do we have a bunker?”
The nervous system had clearly decided this was not the time to relax.
(It turned out to be a scheduled test… which would have been useful to know about in advance.)
But what struck me most was how immediate the response was.
➡️ The body moved straight into protection mode
This is exactly what happens when pain suddenly appears.
Pain has its own alarm system 🚨
It can come on loudly, suddenly an...
We’re extremely proud to share that we’ve been named a winner in the Practice Growth Awards for Principal of the Year 2026 🏆
This recognition reflects the care, clinical experience and commitment our team works hard to deliver to every patient who walks through our doors.
With entries from clinics across physiotherapy, chiropractic, podiatry and osteopathy, being acknowledged in this way is a meaningful milestone for us — particularly as we celebrate 80 years of caring for patients across Glasgow and the surrounding communities in 2026 🎉
We remain committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care to help people stay active, independent and moving well in everyday life.
Thank you to all of our patients who continue to trust us with their care 🙌
80 Years Young!
Since 1946, Cram Osteopaths has been keeping Glasgow and Ayrshire moving — that’s eight decades of straightening spines, freeing stiff joints, and helping generations feel their best.
From being highly commended in the Institute of Osteopathy’s Practice of the Year Awards to becoming one of the area’s most trusted clinics, it has been an incredible journey powered by our dedicated team and our patients.
80 years. Three generations. Thousands upon thousands of patients.
We have seen fashions change, music evolve, and plenty of backs need sorted along the way.
Thank you for being part of our story and trusting us with your care.
Here’s to celebrating 80 incredible years — and continuing to keep our community moving.
When our patient first came to see Alex at Cram Osteopaths they were struggling with lower back pain and pins and needles in their feet – enough to keep them off the tennis court and out of the gym.
Fast forward through a carefully planned course of treatment, and you’ll see the transformation in this video:
✅ Thorough diagnosis and assessment
✅ Step-by-step treatment tailored to their needs
✅ Return to pain-free movement
Today, they’re back to feeling normal, back on court, and back in the gym.

The results spoke for themselves. As his shoulder improved, John felt confident enough to address a separate issue with knee pain. Using the same patient-centred approach, we developed a treatment plan to help restore strength and movement in his knee as well.
Stories like John’s are why we do what we do. Seeing patients leave with less pain, greater freedom of movement and renewed confidence is at the heart of our practice.
If you’re living with pain or stiffness, our experienced team is here to help you move better and feel stronger.
